Parliament hosts documentary exhibition on parliamentary institutions in EU countries

On Europe Day, marked on 9 May, photos accompanied by detailed information and curiosities about the national parliaments from the European Union countries are exhibited at the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.

The exhibition provides visitors with the opportunity to take a virtual tour of the parliaments of the 27 EU member states and learn about the specifics of the European Parliament's activities. The displayed information covers the structure of the institutions and the historic buildings in which the parliamentarians work.

Europe Day celebrates peace and unity in Europe. It marks the anniversary of Schuman Declaration, the cornerstone of the European Union and a turning point in European political cooperation. On 9 May 1950, the European Union was founded through the Schuman Declaration based on two fundamental principles—peace and solidarity.

The exhibition will be open to visitors until the end of May.
