Moldovan electoral body sets certain particularities for organizing new local elections

Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has established certain particularities for organizing and conducting new local elections on 18 May 2025.

According to a decision approved by the CEC, voting booths will be positioned so that the outer part is oriented obliquely at a 45-degree angle to the free wall of the polling station, ensuring that the open part is partially in the visual field of all members of the polling station's electoral office and authorized subjects observing the electoral operations.

Additionally, voters who have reached the age of 18 after February 18, 2025, and have obtained their identity card for the first time indicating their domicile, can vote, being listed in the supplementary electoral list.

This Sunday, new local elections will take place in Călugăr village, Fălești district, Chiperceni village, Orhei district, Talmaza village, Ștefan Vodă district, Boldurești village, Nisporeni district, and Tabani village, Briceni district, as well as elections for a new composition of Temeleuți village council, Florești district.
