VIDEO // BTA: “Bangaranga”, winning Eurovision song performed by DARA, dominates Europe’s music charts

The song “Bangaranga”, performed by Bulgarian singer DARA and winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, continues to dominate music charts across Europe and achieve major results on global streaming platforms, Eurovision.com reports, as cited by BTA.

One week after the grand final held in Vienna, the official singles charts in more countries confirmed the international success of Bulgaria’s representative.

In Austria, the host country of the 70th edition of Eurovision, “Bangaranga” debuted straight at number one in the official singles chart. The song also reached the top spot in Germany, marking the first time in more than ten years that a Eurovision song has topped the German chart, after Loreen’s “Euphoria” in 2012.

In Sweden, one of Europe’s most important music markets, DARA also entered directly at number one, ahead of Sweden’s own Eurovision 2026 representative, FELICIA, whose song “My System” ranked second.

“Bangaranga” reached number one in Lithuania as well, while in Finland and Switzerland it peaked at number two.

On Spotify platform, the Bulgarian song took the number-one spot in the daily charts in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Lithuania, Sweden, Switzerland and Ukraine. It also entered the Top 5 in Denmark, Greece, Latvia, Luxembourg and Poland, and reached the Top 10 in the Czech Republic, Norway, Romania and the United Kingdom.

According to published data, “Bangaranga” was streamed more than three million times worldwide on the day after the Eurovision final alone. The track became the 12th most-streamed song in the world in Spotify’s global daily ranking.

Historically, only two Eurovision-winning songs have achieved better results in Spotify’s global chart: Loreen’s “Tattoo” and Måneskin’s “ZITTI E BUONI”.

The song’s popularity continued to grow after the competition. Before the Eurovision final, “Bangaranga” had accumulated over five million streams on Spotify since its release in March. One week later, total plays had surpassed 20 million.

DARA’s Spotify profile also recorded significant growth. At the end of January, when she was selected to represent Bulgaria at Eurovision, the singer had over 80,000 monthly listeners. A week after the final, her monthly audience had exceeded five million users.

Meanwhile, the videos related to “Bangaranga”, published on the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel, have collectively amassed more than 35 million views.
