Marcel Spatari takes over as chair of Economy, Budget and Finance Committee, while Adrian Băluțel as chair of European Integration Committee

Chișinău, September 10, 2026 – MP Marcel Spatari has taken over as chair of the Economy, Budget and Finance Committee, while Adrian Băluțel has been appointed chair of the European Integration Committee. The changes are set out in a draft resolution adopted by Parliament.

According to the document, Adrian Băluțel has also been included in the composition of the Standing Bureau. The changes were made upon the request of the Action and Solidarity Party faction.

The membership of other committees was also amended. Iurie Levinschi was appointed deputy chair of the Committee on Agriculture and Food Industry, while Valeriu Robu was appointed secretary of the committee. Victor Mătrăgună was appointed a member of the committee, filling the vacant seat.

Ion Groza was appointed deputy head of the Committee on Foreign Policy, while Roman Roșca was appointed a member of the committee.

Twelve standing committees have been established in the 12th Parliament. Standing committees are working bodies of Parliament. They review draft legislation and legislative proposals, prepare reports and opinions, conduct parliamentary inquiries and examine other issues, including at the request of the Speaker or the deputy speakers.
