Moldova sends fuel test results to EU for first time

The Republic of Moldova has made an important step in its European journey by sending reports on the quality of fuel in the country to the European Commission for the first time.

Tests conducted at gas stations and depots show that gasoline and diesel meet both national standards and the European Union's requirements concerning public health, environmental protection, and fuel quality.

According to the State Inspectorate for Non-Food Products Supervision and Consumer Protection (ISSPNPC), this step demonstrates the country's institutional maturity and Moldova's ability to provide concrete, measurable results in compliance with European standards.

For consumers, this achievement means safer and higher-quality fuels, while for Moldova, it signifies concrete progress in aligning with EU standards and in the European integration process, especially in the domain of environment and climate change.

The authorities promise that monitoring of fuel quality will continue constantly to guarantee compliance with European norms and protect the health of the population.
