Deputy Prime Minister: Reform, resilience, determination – milestones of Moldova's European path
Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov participated today in European Think Tank Conference, organized in Chisinau by the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), on the occasion of the organization's ten-year anniversary.
During the event, the official spoke about reform, resilience, and determination – three essential principles for advancing the Republic of Moldova on the path to European integration.
"European integration is not just a political goal but a profound transformation of the country, which we are achieving together with civil society, European partners, and our citizens. We need expertise, ideas, and constructive pressure – and the think tank community actively contributes to the foundation of public policies," emphasized Cristina Gherasimov.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed gratitude to those involved in the reform process and support for Moldova's accession to the European Union: the academic community, independent experts, and non-governmental organizations.
"Without their involvement, we would not have come so far in such a short time," said the official, congratulating IPRE for a decade of "bold ideas, solid expertise, and valuable contributions in support of democracy and Moldova's European path."
The conference gathered local and international experts, representatives of public institutions, and the research community to discuss EU enlargement perspectives and the role of think tanks in the reform and European alignment process.
