Moldovan Prime Minister held phone conversation with Romanian counterpart
Prime Minister Vasile Tofan held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Romania Luca Niculescu, during which he invited him to Chisinau in the coming period. Chisinau official congratulated his Romanian counterpart on taking office. The officials discussed the continuation of important joint projects for citizens on both banks of the Prut River.
The Prime Minister praised the partnership with Romania and the support provided to the Republic of Moldova on its European path. He also highlighted bilateral projects with a direct impact on people's lives.
“For the Republic of Moldova, Romania means a trusted partner and constant support on our European path. We are bound by language, history and culture, as well as by projects that change people's lives – from renovated kindergartens to bridges and energy connections,” said Tofan.
He expressed readiness to expand cooperation between the two states, focusing on strengthening ties between communities, attracting investment and further connecting the Republic of Moldova more closely to Romania and the European Union.
“I want us to take this cooperation further, with concrete results on both banks of the Prut River. We have much work to do together and a goal that unites us: to find ourselves in the same European family,” Tofan emphasized.
The two prime ministers agreed to hold a meeting in Chisinau in the coming period.
