Moldovan carabineers who participated for six months in the international KFOR peacekeeping mission in Kosovo have been awarded the NATO Non-Article 5 Medal for their professionalism and contribution to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
Throughout the mission, the Moldovan troops demonstrated professionalism, discipline, responsibility and team spirit, fulfilling their duties in a complex operational environment and contributing to the achievement of the mission’s goals.
„Through their participation in this mission, the carabineers represented Moldova in international efforts dedicated to maintaining peace and security, demonstrating commitment and dedication to their assumed responsibilities,” the General Inspectorate of Carabineers said.
On October 22, the contingent will return to Moldova following the completion of the mission, bringing valuable professional experience strengthened through international cooperation and activities carried out in support of regional peace and stability.
