European Commissioner for Justice to visit Moldova
European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, Rule of Law and Consumer Protection Michael McGrath will pay an official visit to Chisinau on 26–27 March 2026. The Commissioner will be accompanied by representatives of the European Commission, including Ana Gallego Torres, Director-General for Justice and Consumers (DG JUST).
According to the EU Delegation to Moldova, on the first day the Commissioner will meet with representatives of key institutions in the justice sector and civil society. The discussions will focus on reforms in the justice sector.
On the second day, the agenda includes meetings with President Maia Sandu, members of the vetting commissions, as well as representatives of the Government and Parliament – including Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu and Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov.
A joint press conference with Minister of Justice Vlad Cojuhari is scheduled on 27 March, at 13:25.
