Deputy Prime Minister meets OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Vice-President
On 24 March 2026, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri held a working meeting with Vice-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Kyriakos Hadjiyianni, accompanied by Acting Head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova Izabela Sylwia Hartmann.
The discussions focused on the current dynamics of developments on both banks of the Dniester River, the interaction within the dialogue formats between Chisinau and Tiraspol, as well as the key priorities of the authorities of the Republic of Moldova in gradually and sectorally promoting the country’s reintegration policies.
The role of the OSCE in the Transnistrian settlement process was appreciated, and the call was reiterated to keep on the agenda the issue of respecting human rights in the Transnistrian region and of providing the necessary assistance to victims, including by securing their release from places of illegal detention in the temporarily uncontrolled territory of the country.
