New round of national dialogue on children’s online safety held in Ungheni
President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu paid a working visit to Ungheni municipality, and attended a new round of the national dialogue on children’s safety in online environment. The event, hosted by Ion Creangă Lyceum, brought together students, parents, teachers and psychologists.
“The new generations are growing up simultaneously in the real and virtual worlds, and our role as a society is to offer them not only rules, but above all trust and real support when they face risks,” emphasized Maia Sandu.
During the visit, the head of state also met with local entrepreneurs from Ungheni, expressing her appreciation for initiatives that contribute to new jobs and to strengthening communities. “In Ungheni, I was glad to discover local businesses that are growing nicely, thanks to the efforts of dedicated entrepreneurs who invest and create jobs. Because of the ideas that come to life here, at home, communities become more prosperous and stronger,” said Maia Sandu.
The head of state was also briefed on the progress of works on Bridge of Flowers, an infrastructure project designed to improve the road connection over the Prut River and open new prospects for economic development on both banks. “We are enhancing connectivity and bringing Moldova closer to the European space through modern infrastructure and strategic investments,” Maia Sandu said.
