Members of the Standing Bureau of the Parliament of the 12th legislature met today in the first meeting, shortly after the official formation of the structure. During the meeting, the nominal composition of the standing committees was examined.

The Standing Bureau is the working body of the Parliament, consisting of 15 members appointed according to the principle of proportionality among parliamentary factions.

The Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) faction is represented by seven members: Adrian Belîi, Lilian Carp, Ion Groza, Radu Marian, Liliana Nicolaescu-Onofrei, Veronica Roșca and Marcel Spătari.

The other parliamentary factions have nominated one member each: Igor Dodon (PSRM), Diana Caraman (PCRM), Gaik Vartanean (Alternative), Renato Usatîi (Our Party) and Vasile Costiuc (Democracy at Home).

According to the Parliament's Regulation, the Standing Bureau is responsible for organizing the activities of the Legislature, coordinating standing committees, establishing the agenda and date of plenary sessions, and approving the organizational structure of the Parliamentary Secretariat.
