Veronica Mihailov-Moraru has been appointed as presidential advisor on justice. President Maia Sandu today signed a decree to this effect.
According to the document, Mihailov-Moraru will start her duties at the presidential institution on November 11, 2025.
Veronica Mihailov-Moraru is a lawyer with extensive professional experience. Throughout her career, she has worked in public institutions and non-governmental organizations, contributing to the development and implementation of policies aimed at strengthening the rule of law, anti-corruption measures and promoting the protection of human rights.
Since February 2023, Mihailov-Moraru has been serving as justice minister, after previously holding the position of state secretary at the same ministry. She has been actively involved in the process of justice reform, promoting initiatives aimed at enhancing transparency, efficiency and integrity in the judicial system.
