Alexandru Munteanu completes government team with specialists in diplomacy, economy, finance

Nominee for Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu announced the addition of three new members to the government team proposed for key positions in the future Cabinet: Valeriu Chiveri, Eugen Osmochescu and Andrian Gavriliță.

"We are complementing the government team with dedicated professionals who have vast experience in their respective fields. I thank my colleagues Valeriu Chiveri, Eugen Osmochescu, and Andrian Gavriliță for agreeing to join this joint effort," Munteanu said.

Valeriu Chiveri is a career diplomat and former ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine (2021-2025). He is proposed for the position of Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration. Chiveri has a career spanning over 25 years in diplomatic service and has represented the country in multiple international missions.

Eugen Osmochescu, an expert with over 25 years of experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating institutional strategies and reforms, is proposed for the position of Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization. Throughout his career, Osmochescu has collaborated with the World Bank, the European Union, OECD, and CEFTA, contributing to projects on economic modernization, digitalization, and innovation.

Andrian Gavriliță, an economist with more than two decades of experience in public policy and international affairs, is proposed for the position of Minister of Finance. Munteanu specified that he will have the role of modernizing the financial sector and contributing to the sustainable development of the economy.

"We are forming a team with vision, integrity, and competence, capable of bringing the Republic of Moldova closer to the European Union and ensuring economic stability," the candidate for the prime minister position added.

Yesterday, Munteanu announced candidates for the ministerial positions of Justice, Culture, and Health.

The full Cabinet list is to be presented to the Parliament for examination and a vote of confidence in the coming days.
