Moldova's PM-designate holds dialogue with civil society representatives for governance programme

The candidate designated for the position of prime minister, Alexandru Munteanu, today held discussions with civil society representatives, focused on developing the future governance programme.

“We discussed with civil society representatives how we can build a more transparent and inclusive governance process, based on open dialogue. I thank the participants for their recommendations. We will continue this dialogue, so that the future governance programme includes as many ideas as possible consulted with the civil society,” said Alexandru Munteanu.

During the meeting, major topics were addressed, such as justice reform and the vetting process, economic development and energy security, opportunities for youth, the rights of persons with disabilities, as well as tourism development and environmental policies.

Munteanu emphasized that these consultations would continue on the days to come, before the official presentation of the governance programme and the cabinet team in parliament.
