AIS MOLDPRES and BTA enhance collaboration

MOLDPRES State News Agency and Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) will enhance their partnership through daily news exchange and regional collaboration, agreed on 28 October in Chișinău by heads of the two institutions Vitalie Hadei and Kiril Valchev.

The directors from Chișinău and Sofia reconfirmed the efficiency of the collaboration between national news agencies, based on the agreement signed on 9 March 2023. The document stipulates the daily exchange of relevant information, mutual access to information flows, as well as promoting content produced by partners on their own channels.

“The collaboration between AIS "MOLDPRES" and BTA is one of the most efficient we have at the international level. The daily exchange of news, translations and openness to new joint projects show the functionality of our partnership,” AIS "MOLDPRES" director Vitalie Hadei conveyed to his Bulgarian counterpart.

Vitalie Hadei wanted to emphasize that there is a significant Bulgarian community in Moldova, and AIS "MOLDPRES" publishes daily news provided by BTA to contribute to better informing them, as well as all the citizens of our country about the realities of Bulgaria.

Kiril Valchev highlighted that since the signing of the agreement, BTA has translated into Bulgarian and published over 330 news created by AIS "MOLDPRES" team. Additionally, Valchev stated that the institution he leads has a permanent correspondent in Taraclia.

BTA director, as secretary-general of the Association of Balkan News Agencies – Southeast Europe (ABNA-SE) reiterated the invitation to AIS "MOLDPRES" to become a member of the organization, which includes 12 news agencies: Albania (ATA), Bosnia and Herzegovina (FENA), Bulgaria (BTA), Cyprus (CNA), Croatia (HINA), Greece (ANA-MPA), Italy (ANSA), Kosovo (KosovaPress), Montenegro (MINA), North Macedonia (MIA), Romania (Agerpres) and Turkey (Anadolu Agency).

Kiril Valchev renewed his invitation to his Moldovan counterpart to visit BTA in Sofia and the agency's 33 national press clubs. The meeting concluded with a symbolic exchange of publications produced by the two national press institutions.
