
Moldovan carabineers to be endowed with modern equipment, new patrol vehicles for faster responses to citizens' requests
The carabineers will be endowed with modern equipment and new patrol vehicles. In this respect, the cabinet today approved the Memorandum of Understanding between the General Inspectorate of Carabineers of Moldova and the General Command of the Gendarmerie of Turkey.
According to the draft’s provisions, the General Inspectorate of Carabineers will receive patrol vehicles and special protective means, which will support both crime prevention activities and quick responses to citizens' requests.
At the same time, the Fulger Special Police Brigade of the General Police Inspectorate will receive a batch of tactical equipment to support special missions.
‘’The conclusion of the Memorandum will ensure access to essential equipment, in order to improve the operational and intervention capacities of the General Inspectorate of Carabineers and the General Police Inspectorate. This equipment is meant to support crime prevention activities and rapid responses to citizens' requests, thus protecting the integrity, safety and security of communities,’’ said Interior Minister Daniella Misail-Nichitin at the government meeting.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the General Inspectorate of Carabineers of Moldova and the General Command of the Gendarmerie of Turkey was signed at the Interior Ministry on May 13, 2025.
