
Moldovan foreign ministry informs Bulgaria introduces electronic vignette
Chisinau, 22 January /MOLDPRES/ – A new toll collection system has been introduced in Bulgaria since January. It aims to replace the classic vignette with the electronic vignette by implementing an online payment system.
According to the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service, the electronic vignette is associated with the registration number of the car, which will not require the display of a payment proof.
The Road Infrastructure Agency of Bulgaria announced that there were installed 160 self – service terminals on the territory of the country, as an alternative way to pay for the vignette. Aut of these, there were installed 32 terminals at 14 border checkpoints: Kapitan Andreevo, Dunav most Ruse, Durankulak, Kardam, Gueshevo, Oltomantsi, Stanke Lisichkovo, Yatarevo, Kalotina, Kulata, Kapitan Petko Voyvoda, Lesovo, Bregovo and Vrashka Chuka, as well as at Sunny Oil near the Bulgarian border crossing Dunav most 2 Vidin.
The electronic vignettes can be purchased and paid (including cash) at the Regional road traffic control departments, at the offices of Al operator and at Easy Pay branches, as well as at regional post offices.
The changes in vignette rates for 2019 have also been made, its current values can be consulted by visiting the official website of the Bulgarian Road Infrastructure Agency.
