The veterans of the 1992 Transnistria War are urging authorities not to allow speeches that would promote the federalization of Moldova. In their opinion, this would pose a direct threat to the independence and territorial integrity of Moldova. Dozens of veterans marched in protest to the Russian Federation Embassy, where they chanted ‘’Russian army out!’’ and ‘’Unity, veterans!’’

Gheorghe Stepuleac, a veteran, said: 'We, the war veterans, will not allow destabilizations in the country. We are sending a message to the Russian Federation Embassy that we will be watching them and will not allow them to pull the iron curtain again. The veterans are strong. If anyone thinks that we represent nothing, they are seriously mistaken.’’

Andrei Eremia, vice-president of The Force of War Veterans for Nation and Country, said: ‘’For Moldova, federalization would mean a threat to sovereignty and independence, for what we fought for in 1992. That is why, we will oppose these plans.’’
