PHOTO GALLERY // Eugen Doga – 89 years since birth of maestro who brought Moldova’s music to world
Eugen Doga dedicated his life to musical creation, becoming the author of hundreds of works – from symphonic pieces and romances to film and ballet music. His waltz from the film, My Sweet and Tender Beast, is considered one of the most beautiful musical works of the 20th century, bringing him international recognition and the appreciation of audiences around the world.
On March 1, Moldova will mark 89 years since the birth of the great composer Eugen Doga, a landmark name in the world music.
Throughout his career, the maestro collaborated with renowned directors and artists, and his music has resounded on the great stages of the world. His works are distinguished by lyricism, sensitivity and a profound emotional charge, becoming part of the cultural identity of Moldova.
On the occasion of this anniversary, MOLDPRES photojournalist Mihai Vengher created a special photo gallery, in which Eugen Doga is captured at various important events in his life – on stage, among the public, at cultural meetings or in moments of reflection.
