
Lyceum from north Moldova to undergo energy optimization with EU's support
Chisinau, 22 July /MOLDPRES/ - The regional authorities from central Moldova till late 2022 have planned to finish a project on enhancing the energy efficiency of the Alexei Mateevici theoretical lyceum from the Soldanesti town.
The project’s implementation team on 21 July paid a monitoring visit to the object’s site. The team members analyzed the challenges emerged and revised the schedule of implementation and the terms suggested for ensuring the achievement of the goals set.
Following the implementation of this investment measure, 71 employees and 560 pupils of the Alexei Mateevici theoretical lyceum will benefit from better conditions for work and education. ‘’The normed annual consumption of energy will be cut by 970 MWh at the lyceum and the annually normed emissions of CO2 – by 200 tons. The finalization of the energy efficiency project of the Alexei Mateevici theoretical lyceum from the Soldanesti town is planned to be made till the end of 2022,’’ the Centru Regional Development Agency (ADR Centru) said.
The project titled, Enhancement of the energy efficiency of the Alexei Mateevici theoretical lyceum from the Soldanesti town, is implemented by ADR Centru and is financed by the European Union, in cooperation with the Modernization of Local Public Services in Moldova project. The latter is implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), in partnership with the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry and financially backed by Germany’s Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
