Exhibition by Moldovan fine artist opened at Chisinau-based museum

Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/ - A personal painting exhibition titled, Place of Colour, by fine artist, Master in Art Mihai Tarus was inaugurated at the Museum of History of the Chisinau City today. The event was organized in partnership with the culture department of the Chisinau Municipal Council.     

The exhibition comprises 11 works. According to the director of the aforementioned museum, Valeria Suruceanu, the paintings by Mihai Tarus harmoniously fit eight basic colours: yellow, orange, red, violet, ultramarine, blue, green and warm green.     

Mihai Tarus was born on 10 December 1948, in Sinesti village, Ungheni district. He finished school of Fine Arts "A. Plamadeala" in Chisinau and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sankt – Petersburg. The first personal exhibition he opened at the House of Scholars in the city upon the Neva river. He exhibited with distinguished Russian painters at Gallery "Tretiakov" and presented his works – at the Sterligov Artists Group in Russia – in New York. The galleries from Finland, Belgium, Italy and France also hosted his works. For originality in creation, Mihai Tarus won the Gold Medal at the Cannes Art Salon, France in 2009 and Silver Medal of the Academy of Painting of the Russian Federation in 2007.

The exhibition will be opened till 15 April.
