Chișinău, November 2, 2026 – In October, MPs met in five plenary sessions, lasting a total of more than 22 hours. During these sessions, Parliament adopted 29 normative acts: 28 laws and one decision.

Of the adopted acts, eight concern the harmonization of national legislation with that of the European Union, while nine are included in the National Programme for the Accession of the Republic of Moldova to the EU for 2025–2029. During the same period, MPs voted on 23 draft normative acts in the first reading.

Thus, MPs adopted the fiscal and customs policy package for 2027, which provides for lower taxes on labor, increased support for investment, and measures to protect essential consumption, as well as the anti-SLAPP legislative package. Parliament also aligned national legislation on audiovisual media, small and medium-sized enterprises, and postal communications with European standards. In the second reading, legislative initiatives were adopted that allow the disability pension to be combined with the survivor’s pension, require taxi platforms to process payments through financial institutions licensed in the Republic of Moldova, and extend the provisional licensing of grain and oilseed imports until the end of 2026.

Before being put to a vote in the plenary session of Parliament, draft normative acts were examined by the standing committees. In October, the committees held 47 meetings, during which they approved 49 reports, 19 co-reports, and 43 opinions.

Throughout October, 37 normative acts entered the legislative procedure. In addition, seven public consultations and hearings were organized on legislative initiatives addressing matters of public interest.
