New Minister of Finance introduced to team
New Minister of Finance Andrian Gavriliță was introduced to the ministry team today by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu. The head of the executive congratulated the new minister for accepting this complex mission, emphasizing his confidence that, together with the Ministry of Finance team, he will be able to meet the challenges of the mandate.
During the event, the Prime Minister thanked Victoria Belous for her work at the helm of the Ministry of Finance and expressed confidence that Mr. Andrian Gavriliță’s experience and professionalism will contribute to the consolidation and good management of public finances.
In his message, Minister Andrian Gavriliță stated that taking over the leadership of the Ministry of Finance represents a great responsibility, but also an opportunity to strengthen citizens' and the business environment's trust in the state's financial institutions.
He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu for the trust given and to former Minister Victoria Belous for the collaboration and support provided. “I am confident that you are handing over to me a competent, dedicated, and well-intentioned team. I will make every effort for the Ministry of Finance to be efficient, credible, and result-oriented for people and businesses. I am convinced that together we will form a united team capable of achieving important objectives for the country,” said Gavriliță.
The new Minister of Finance has defined the following priorities: creating a tax system as simple and friendly as possible for everyone; improving public investment management so that they are realized quickly, efficiently, and with a real impact on the country's well-being; and modernizing the financial system to provide businesses with better access to financing and citizens with more investment opportunities.
Andrian Gavriliță holds a degree in economic sciences and a master's in business administration. He has 20 years of experience both in the business environment and in public policy in support of the Government of the Republic of Moldova.
The Government of the Republic of Moldova, led by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu was sworn in on October 31, 2025, and on November 1, 2025, the members of the Cabinet of Ministers took the oath of allegiance.
