Partnership to support farmers: three institutions synchronize funding programs

A tripartite cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening the inter-institutional cooperation mechanism for the efficient management of financial resources was signed today by the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA), the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) and the Consolidated Unit for Implementation of IFAD Programs (UCIP).

The document outlines the implementation of effective models for additional verification of financial support provided to beneficiaries of grants, subsidies, and other forms of assistance in order to avoid double funding and ensure transparent and responsible management of public and external funds intended for the agro-industrial and rural sectors.

Through the partnership, AIPA, ODA and UCIP IFAD aim to harmonize collaboration procedures, improve information exchange and coordinate support mechanisms so that entrepreneurs and farmers can benefit from a clearer, more coherent and efficient financing system.

“The signing of this agreement strengthens the cooperation between our institutions and contributes to a better use of resources available for the development of agriculture and the rural environment,” according to the signatories.

The implementation of the agreement will contribute to increasing the impact of financing programs, strengthening institutional capacities, and stimulating the sustainable development of the agro-industrial sector. Moreover, it marks a step towards creating a common framework of action between national institutions and international development partners, for the benefit of agricultural producers and the rural economy in the Republic of Moldova.
