Eugen Osmochescu introduced to Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization team
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu introduced Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Eugen Osmochescu to the team of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization.
“The focus will be on economic growth, attracting investments, and transforming the consumption-based economy into an investment-driven economy. I believe that through a joint effort, we will succeed,” the Prime Minister said.
The mandate was handed over by former Minister Doina Nistor, who congratulated her successor and thanked the ministry team:
“I thank my colleagues for what we have achieved together in a short and challenging period. We have laid the foundations for important projects, and I am delighted that Eugen will continue this work, as we share the same values and visions.”
New minister Eugen Osmochescu emphasized his commitment to the continuity of reforms and strengthening the strategic directions of the ministry:
“It is an honor and a great responsibility to take over the leadership of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization. I will continue the efforts to modernize the economy, stimulate investments, and accelerate the digitalization of economic and administrative processes. I hope that through open dialogue with the business community and international partners, we can build a competitive, sustainable, and future-oriented economy together.”
Eugen Osmochescu has over 25 years of experience in developing and implementing public policies and economic development strategies. He is an internationally recognized specialist in sustainable development, investment attraction, and regulatory reform. His work has focused on strengthening economic competitiveness, promoting corporate governance, supporting small and medium enterprises, and integrating green and digital economy principles into institutional modernization processes.
He is known for his strategic vision, results-oriented approach, and ability to build strong partnerships between the public sector, private sector and international organizations, aiming to promote a competitive, sustainable and inclusive economy.
On 31 October 2025, the Government of the Republic of Moldova, led by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu was sworn in with the majority vote of the Parliament members, and on 1 November the Cabinet members took the oath of allegiance before President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu.
