Over 100 civil servants trained in applying regulatory impact analysis methodology for draft legislation
Throughout October, over 100 civil servants from central public administration authorities involved in drafting and promoting normative acts were trained in applying the regulatory impact analysis methodology.
The training program aimed to develop skills for the correct and rigorous application of the regulatory impact analysis methodology to ensure a qualitative and well-argued foundation for drafting normative acts.
Participants strengthened their knowledge in identifying and defining regulatory issues, setting objectives, evaluating public policy options, estimating the associated costs and benefits, and analyzing the impact on the public and private sectors, society and environment.
The training was organized in the context of implementing the actions outlined in the Implementation Program for 2023-2026 of the Public Administration Reform Strategy for 2023-2030. The strategy aims to ensure that 100% of normative acts are accompanied by impact analysis by 2026. Commitments in this regard are also part of the Roadmap for Public Administration Reform, a benchmark criterion in Moldova's accession to the European Union.
The trainings were organized by the State Chancellery, with support from the Efficient and Attractive Public Administration in Moldova and Policy Advisory Fund in Moldova projects, funded by the German Government and implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
