Over 130,000 visitors discover Moldova's culture, traditions, innovations at World Expo in Osaka

More than 130,000 visitors discovered Moldova's culture, traditions and innovations at the World Expo in Osaka, held in Japan during April 13- October 13. The country’s pavilion at this international event thus becomes a national calling card that sparks interest among the Japanese - and not only - at both cultural and economic levels.

“This is a successful debut for Moldova's stand - a modern, vibrant and interactive space where the past and future meet. We have a real chance to strengthen our country's image and attract new partnerships,” said the government spokesperson Daniel Voda.

At Moldova's pavilion, visitors can discover the country’s authentic culture and crafts, modern technologies and innovative ideas, an open, friendly country connected to the future, Daniel Voda noted.

“Moldova presents itself to the world with dignity, courage and hope. And it is doing this well. Thanks to the teams at the Moldovan Embassy in Tokyo, the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Moldexpo and the entrepreneurs who contributed to this project,” said the government spokesperson Daniel Voda.

He informed that, on August 31, on Romanian Language Day, Moldova Day would be marked at Expo Osaka - a symbolic moment celebrated alongside the country’s Diaspora in Japan.

Moldova's participation in Expo 2025 Osaka aims to strengthen international presence by leveraging business development opportunities, expanding collaboration networks and promoting national culture.

Visitors to Moldova's pavilion can taste local wines and traditional dishes, all gathered in the Casa Mare space, try on traditional costumes, listen to folk music, explore tourist locations through a teleport-type experience and learn about investment opportunities.

More than 160 countries are participating in the Osaka World Expo 2025 and about 28 million visitors are expected during six months.
