Moldovan president thanks PM for work
President Maia Sandu has thanked Prime Minister Dorin Recean for his excellent performance during his tenure as head of the cabinet of ministers. Dorin Recean today conveyed a message to this effect and announced that he was concluding his work at the head of the government.
President Maia Sandu emphasized that, during this stage of the country's development, Dorin Recean had been the most suitable person to lead the government and guide state institutions, which allowed for the dignified overcoming of multiple crises.
"Thank you, Dorin, for accepting to be with us during these complicated years! Together with the team, you have significantly contributed to strengthening the resilience of state institutions and protecting democracy, advancing the process of EU accession, ensuring energy security and implementing more important development programmes for the country. I trust that you will be there when the country needs you," declared Maia Sandu.
Dorin Recean today informed that he was concluding his term as prime minister with the expiration of the current government's mandate. In the context of this decision, the president of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Igor Grosu, emphasized that the party already had a candidate for the position of PM; yet, the name will be made public after official consultations with President Maia Sandu.
