Moldovan native Senina Cojocari founded an artisanal bakery in Brussels three years ago, and today residents of the European Union’s capital stand in line to buy sourdough bread, fluffy muffins and delicious croissants.
At first, she baked bread only for her family, but its authentic taste won over her friends. They encouraged her to turn her passion into a heartfelt project.
With the valuable advice received from her grandmother in the village of Orac, Leova district, Senina Cojocari now runs a successful business in Brussels.
Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi, while on a visit to Brussels, did not miss the chance to step into the “Mains Sourdough Bakery” and taste the products prepared by Senina Cojocari.
“Here in Brussels, I discovered an artisanal bakery that has won over the community through the authenticity and quality of its products. Sourdough bread made by the book, fluffy muffins, and excellent croissants – all prepared with care and patience. The story behind this bakery is as beautiful as its products. The products are highly appreciated by consumers and customers’ trust is visible in the lines that appear every day,” said Mihai Popsoi.
According to the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Senina Cojocari’s story shows once again that Moldovan citizens can succeed anywhere when they work with dedication and follow their dreams.
