The achievements of the last few months and the priorities for this year have been discussed within the Working Party on Enlargement. Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov, who is in Brussels, spoke about the progress made so far and the strategic directions for the coming period.

“Following the launch of technical discussions on the three groups of chapters, we must maintain a more active dialogue with the member states. Today in Brussels, within the Working Party on Enlargement and with the countries that are in the process of accession negotiations to the EU (COELA), I presented what we have managed to achieve and the priorities for this year,” the official said.

During the meeting, Cristina Gherasimov highlighted the importance of maintaining a constructive dialogue with member states and strengthening reforms in the fields of justice, public administration and institutional transparency, which are essential for advancing the European integration process of Moldova.

On 15 December 2025, Moldova officially launched technical discussions with the European Union as part of the EU accession process. This stage marks the beginning of a detailed analysis of national legislation and policies, with a view to aligning them with European standards.
