Moldovan deputy PM for reintegration has discussions on national reintegration policies within special parliamentary commission

Discussions today were held on current issues concerning the situation in the eastern districts of Moldova, the operation of Romanian-language schools, the difficulties faced by farmers in the Dubasari district, and aspects related to environmental protection on both banks of the Dniester River, on the platform of the special parliamentary commission for monitoring and parliamentary control over the implementation of the policy for the country’s reintegration.

Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri reported on the outcomes of recent working meetings at the level of political representatives and sectoral working groups from Chisinau and Tiraspol, the key approaches in implementing reintegration policies, the support measures provided to educational institutions in the Security Zone and to farmers who own land along the Rabnita–Tiraspol route, as well as the development projects to be financed through the Country Reintegration Activities Programme for 2026.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Research Valentina Olaru and a representative of the Environment Ministry presented information on the measures taken to ensure the proper work of Romanian-language schools in the Transnistrian region and to efficiently manage the ecological crisis of the Dniester River, as well as other proactive actions on behalf of Chisinau aimed at improving the quality of the educational process and protecting the environment on both banks of Dniester.
