Prime Minister in Dubrovnik: Moldova and US will continue projects for security and development

The strengthening of cooperation in areas such as energy security and digital connectivity was discussed today by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu with Ambassador of the United States of America Nicole McGraw during a meeting in Dubrovnik.

“I was pleased to meet in Dubrovnik with Nicole McGraw and to have an open discussion about our common priorities,” said Munteanu.

According to him, the talks focused on concrete projects that would generate results for citizens.

“We talked about how we can make progress in essential areas – energy security, digital connectivity, and concrete projects that bring results for citizens,” he noted.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the partnership with the US in the current context.

“In a period full of challenges, close cooperation with partners matters more than ever,” said Munteanu.

At the same time, the official expressed gratitude for the support provided by Washington.

“We thank the United States for the constant support offered to the Republic of Moldova and for the trust in our path. We continue to work together for greater security and prosperity for our citizens,” the Prime Minister added.

Munteanu is paying a working visit to Dubrovnik, Croatia, from 27–29 April 2026, where he is participating in the 11th edition of the Three Seas Initiative (3SI) Summit.

The event brings together political leaders, international financial institutions, and strategic partners from Europe and the United States of America, and is dedicated to the development of transport, energy, and digital infrastructure in the region between the Baltic Sea, the Black Sea, and the Adriatic Sea.
