European Integration Office marks two years since creation

The European Integration Office (EIO) is marking two years since its creation. On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov conveyed a message in which she mentioned that in its two years of activity, the institution has become a pillar of support for the entire governmental effort to prepare for accession.

Cristina Gherasimov highlighted that behind every step taken on the path of European integration stand long hours of work, analysis, reports, negotiations, and close cooperation between institutions at home and those in Brussels.

“Today marks two years since the creation of the European Integration Office. Two years of intensive work, daily coordination, and collective effort to bring Moldova closer to the European Union. Behind every step taken on this path stand long hours of work, analysis, reports, negotiations, and close cooperation between institutions at home and those in Brussels,” stated Cristina Gherasimov.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that European integration is the result of the work of a dedicated team which, day by day, lays brick by brick in building Moldova’s European future.

“Over these two years, the European Integration Office has become a pillar of support for the entire governmental effort to prepare for accession: coordinating reforms, supporting institutions, and maintaining the pace of a complex process that requires professionalism, patience, and strong determination. We are learning as we go and becoming better with each passing day. We are proving that when there is will, enthusiasm, and you believe in your own country, nothing is impossible. Our European path continues and we are building it together, step by step,” said Cristina Gherasimov.

The European Integration Office is a structural subdivision within the State Chancellery responsible for coordinating the European integration process at the national level.
