New local elections in south Moldova settlement: residents to elect mayor on November 1, 2026
New local elections will be held for the position of mayor in the village of Cairaclia, southern Taraclia district, on November 1, 2026.
At a today’s meeting, the Central Electoral Commission took note of the resignation of the mayor of Cairaclia village.
On May 17, 2026, new local elections will take place in the village of Costesti and the commune of Rusestii Noi, Ialoveni district, the village of Mascauti, Criuleni district, the commune of Saratenii Vechi, Telenesti district, the town of Taraclia, Taraclia district, the municipality of Orhei, Orhei district, the village of Topala in Cimislia district, the village of Copceac in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, the village of Plop, Donduseni district, and the commune of Frumusica, Floresti district.
On the same day, local referendums will be organized on the recall of the mayor in the village of Hasnasenii Mari, Drochia district, and the commune of Sadac, Cantemir district.
