Parliamentary factions formed
During the session of the XII Legislature Parliament, MPs have officially formed the parliamentary factions, marking the first stage of organizing the Legislature following the elections held on 28 September 2025. The process was led by session president Zinaida Greceanîi, acting seniority dean, who invited representatives from each party to publicly announce the formation of the faction.
Zinaida Greceanîi initiated the procedure:
“I ask the speakers to come to the microphone so that they are visible. Please, the Action and Solidarity Party, are you ready?”
The PAS representative confirmed, and the session president validated the formation of the faction:
“The Action and Solidarity Party faction is formed,” announced Greceanîi.
Subsequently, other factions were constituted as well: the Patriotic Electoral Bloc which will have two fractions - the Party of Socialists and the Party of Communists. Vasile Tarlev said he does not belong to either faction.
Also, the Alternative Bloc and the Democracy at Home Party confirmed the official establishment of the faction.
The session president emphasized that, in accordance with the Parliament's regulations, the factions must nominate the internal leadership and establish the organizational structure.
Thus, the XII Legislature Parliament has completed the first stage of internal organization, preparing for the election of the Parliament president, vice-presidents, and the formation of the standing bureau.
