Air Moldova launches direct flights to Thessaloniki city in Greece
Chisinau, 23 May /MOLDPRES/ – Air Moldova has launched today direct flights to Thessaloniki city, which is the 2nd largest city in Greece. The ticket price starts from €69 in one direction, with all taxes included, and the trip lasts 95 minutes (01 hour 35 minutes).
The company decided to include this destination into the summer schedule, following the requests of citizens. The flights will be operated in the morning, on Thursdays and Sundays. The departure flight from Chisinau is scheduled for 07:00 and the return flight from Macedonia International Airport at 09:25.
"We have launched the Chisinau – Thessaloniki – Chisinau flight to offer an alternative to those who want to go to the sea on Halkidiki Peninsula and other popular regions in northern Greece, but who do not want to travel by a stopover or consider travelling by car or bus too tedious and long. Also, this flight can also be convenient for businessmen, Thessaloniki being the most important business centre in Greece, but also for Moldovans settled in northern Greece," said head of Air Moldova, Iulian Scorpan.
Thessaloniki is a popular destination for sea holiday, but also a point of connection with Halkidiki peninsula, one of the favourite places for Moldavians due to clean beaches and turquoise water.
Recently, Air Moldova has also launched two summer flights to two more holiday destinations – Izmir (Turkey) – 18 May and Nice (France) on 26 April.
Air Moldova operates direct flights to the following destinations: Barcelona, Bologna, Dublin, Frankfurt, Geneva, Istanbul, Krasnodar, Larnaca, Lisbon, London, Milan, Moscow, Paris, Rome, Sankt – Petersburg, Tel – Aviv, Turin, Venice, Verona and Vienna.
