Moldovan PM participates in Europe Forum Wachau 2025

Europe is stronger when united, and Moldova is fully prepared to assume responsibilities, being an active partner. Prime Minister Dorin Recean today made statements to this effect at the European Forum in Wachau.

“I participated, together with the Chancellor of Austria, Christian Stocker, and the Prime Minister of Bulgaria, Rossen Jeliazkov, at the European Forum in Wachau. We discussed the geopolitical situation in the region and the opportunities we are creating to ensure peace and a better living for our citizens,” said the prime minister.

At the same time, Dorin Recean noted that Moldova had the innovation, talent and determination necessary to become, in a few years, a full-fledged member of the European family.

“Europe is stronger when united, and Moldova is fully prepared to assume responsibilities, being an active partner. We have the innovation, talent and determination necessary to become, in a few years, a full-fledged member of the European family: we invest in innovation and entrepreneurship, promote digitalization and build an efficient public administration due to quickly and correctly respond to citizens' needs,” the official said.

The PM further added that Moldova was strengthening its security and energy independence, modernizing infrastructure and investing in education and crisis response capacity.

“With the help of our European partners, we are building a safer and more prosperous future for citizens. We contribute with hard work and deep trust in the power of a united Europe,” added Dorin Recean.

Prime Minister Dorin Recean today is on a visit to Vienna, Austria, where the Forum Europe Wachau 2025 is taking place. The event brings together European leaders, in order to discuss the future of Europe, with a focus on EU’s enlargement and regional cooperation. During the visit to Vienna, PM Recean also had a bilateral meeting with Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker.
