Austria is a reliable partner of the Republic of Moldova and an active supporter of our European path. The statement was made by Prime Minister Dorin Recean, who today in Vienna, had a discussion with Federal Chancellor of Austria Christian Stocker.
Dorin Recean said that Austria's support is outlined through concrete projects and investments amounting to 32 million euros, for the benefit of our country's citizens.
'I am in Vienna, where I had a good discussion with Federal Chancellor of Austria Christian Stocker. Austria is a reliable partner of the Republic of Moldova and an active supporter of our European path. We see this support also through projects that improve the quality of life for our people, implemented by the Austrian Development Agency. Over 32 million euros have been invested in initiatives such as the Edineț water treatment plant, the Solutions4Youth project, which helps young people seize career opportunities, as well as in rural development programs, social infrastructure, and energy efficiency. Other investments are aimed at setting up the Electronics and Computer Science College,' said Dorin Recean.
The Prime Minister thanked Chancellor Stocker for the trusted partnership between our countries and for the active contribution to the modernization of Moldova.
'Austria is one of our main investors, and during the meeting, we discussed extending economic cooperation, focusing on investments in green energy, industry, and agriculture. I also encouraged the involvement of Austrian companies in the free economic zones of Moldova,' concluded Dorin Recean.
Recean is paying a visit to Vienna, Austria today to attend Wachau Europe Forum 2025.
