Investment worth over 290 million lei in Balti: abandoned hall to be transformed into modern food production factory
The fifth state aid agreement for industrial investments was signed in Balti today, marking an important milestone in the economic development of the region. The company ELECTROTEHNICA will transform an abandoned industrial hall into a modern food production factory, one of the largest private investments in recent years in north Moldova.
The overall investment exceeds 290 million lei and the project is supported by the government through state aid worth 173.8 million lei in the form of a non-reimbursable grant and tax facilities.
The new factory will create at least 319 jobs, use state-of-the-art technology and local ingredients, and the products will be manufactured in Moldova, thus contributing to strengthening the local agri-food sector.
Authorities claim that this investment proves that Moldova is becoming an increasingly attractive ground for serious investors, with sustainable projects and a real impact on the national economy. At the same time, the initiative confirms the industrial potential of the Balti city, which is consolidating its status as a pole of regional economic development.
