Moldovan president congratulates winners of EuroQuiz Contest
President Maia Sandu has participated in the awards ceremony for the participants in the EuroQuiz Contest, a competition organized in Moldova for the first time.
The head of state congratulated the students and teachers who had participated in the competition and highlighted the importance of organizing such a contest, which brings Europe closer to Moldovan students.
‘’Moldova is heading towards the EU, because we want a better life for everyone, and those who will benefit the most from this choice are the young people,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
The top three winning teams of the EuroQuiz competition will make a study visit to Brussels. The EuroQuiz contest was organized by the Office for European Integration and the Ministry of Education and Research, the Association of Intellectual Games of Moldova and the National Youth Agency, in partnership with the EU Delegation in Moldova. Forty-one teams participated in the competition: one from each district and five from the municipality of Chisinau. The competition aimed to test participants' knowledge about the European Union in such areas as history, geography and European institutions, while also promoting the active involvement of young people in European values.
