EcoContact launches new grant round for NGOs in environment and sustainable development

EcoContact announces the launch of the fifth round of the Small Grants Program (SGP5) Active Citizens for a Healthy Environment and Green Justice, part of the project Green Justice for a Protected Environment and Sustainable Communities in the Republic of Moldova, implemented with the financial support of Sweden. The program is intended for NGOs from all districts of Moldova that are operating in environmental protection, sustainable development and civic engagement.

The program encourages initiatives that contribute to environmental protection and prevention of ecological violations; correct application of environmental legislation; increasing transparency in local decision-making processes; strengthening cooperation between civil society and local public authorities; access to public interest information; citizen involvement in monitoring, reporting, and resolving environmental issues.

"NGOs can request up to 300,000 lei, with a minimum own contribution of 10%. Projects can last up to nine months, starting from January 15, 2026, and completing by October 15, 2026. Applications must be submitted electronically, in Romanian, to grant@ecocontact.md, by December 30, 2025. Only complete applications, prepared according to the requirements from the SGP Implementation Guide, 5th edition, will be evaluated," explains EcoContact.

To facilitate the preparation of project proposals, EcoContact will organize an online information session on December 8, 2025, at 09:00. The registration form is available online, and registered individuals will receive the connection link via email.
