
Honorary Consulate of Moldova in Zurich officially inaugurated
Moldova has expanded its diplomatic presence in Switzerland with the official opening of the Honorary Consulate in Zurich. The festive event was attended by members of the diplomatic, business and Moldovan Diaspora communities.
In her speech, Secretary of State for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Carolina Perebinos emphasized the importance of this symbolic step.
"This moment represents not only the opening of a new representation in one of Europe's most dynamic economic and cultural centers, but also our deep commitment to strengthening the relations between Moldova and the Swiss Confederation," said Perebinos.
She thanked Switzerland for its steadfast support in the process of the country’s development.
Ambassador of Moldova to Switzerland Vladimir Cuc welcomed the expansion of the Moldovan presence, noting that the new consulate would contribute to enhancing Moldova's visibility and boosting the bilateral economic cooperation.
Honorary Consul Valentina Ceban thanked for the trust given and committed to promoting the image of Moldova in Switzerland, facilitating commercial and cultural ties between the two countries.
The event concluded with a string of informal discussions and a tasting of Moldovan wines.
