More schools in Moldovan capital receive new computers
Eight educational institutions in Chișinău have received new computers. These will be used to modernize classrooms, ICT labs, and support technology-assisted learning.
The donation was made by the Special Self-Governing Office for Education of Jeju Province, Republic of Korea, based on the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in information technologies.
The entire equipment included 120 computers, so each educational institution received 15 units of technology.
Thus, new computers were received by 'Gaudeamus' High School, 'Doina and Ion Aldea-Teodorovici' High School, 'Mihail Kogălniceanu' High School, 'Vasile Alecsandri' High School, 'Tudor Vladimirescu' High School, 'Lucian Blaga' High School, 'Petru Zadnipru' High School, and 'Constantin Negruzzi' High School.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Research Valentina Olaru emphasized that ensuring access to modern digital equipment is an essential condition for guaranteeing relevant, inclusive, and quality education. 'This donation provides concrete support to students and teachers,' said Valentina Olaru.
The Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in information technologies between the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova and the Special Self-Governing Office for Education of Jeju Province, Republic of Korea was signed last summer in Chișinău. It particularly provides for the donation of computers and the organization of ICT training courses for teachers from the Republic of Moldova.
