
Natalia Molosag new Ombudswoman of Moldova
Chisinau, 23 September /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today appointed Natalia Molosag to the office of Ombudswoman for a seven-year mandate.
Natalia Molosag has degree in law and has worked over 15 years in the sector. She has earlier got prizes for initiatives in the human rights sector at the United Nations Gala Award.
Eleven candidates submitted acts at the contest for the position of Ombudsman, of whom nine were allowed to the interview exam and Natalia Molosag got the highest mark.
Under the legislation, the candidate for the office of Ombudsman must meet more conditions, among which a length of service of at least ten years and well-known work in the field of defence and promotion of human rights. Also, the candidate should not have negative results in terms of professional integrity in the last five years.
