President Maia Sandu today met residents of the northern Rascani district, where she discussed the progress made in the fields of education and development of the local infrastructure.
‘’I was glad to see how, in Costesti, the Silvian Lucaci lyceum has been transformed over the years thanks to investments made through a renovation project for more educational institutions, initiated during the mandate of the Ministry of Education. As a matter of fact, in Rascani district, we have managed to renovate and modernize more schools and kindergartens,’’ said Sandu.
At another meeting in Corlateni, Maia Sandu discussed with locals about investments in transport infrastructure, hospitals, water and sewage systems, as well as in green energy.
As part of the European Village programme, a solar plant was built in Corlateni, in order to provide energy to public institutions and street lighting.
‘’Here, through the European Village programme, a solar plant was constructed, in order to supply energy to public institutions and part of the street lighting. Such projects prove why it is important for Moldova to continue its path towards European Union accession - for a better life at home,’’ concluded the president.
