
National Army sappers neutralized 14 explosives in November
Chisinau, Dec. 5 /MOLDPRES/- In November the National Army soldiers neutralized 14 explosive objects of different types.
According to the Ministry of Defense, during this period, 12 demining missions were carried out in localities in the districts of Ștefan Vodă, Nisporeni, Hâncești, Anenii Noi, Ungheni, Dubăsari and Chisinau.
The head of the National Army's engineering service, lieutenant-colonel Igor Livițchi said that Codru Battalion team was requested in Talmaza village, Ștefan Vodă district. "Following the agricultural works, a reactive projectile, caliber 320 mm, dating from the period of the World War II was found. Being in a deplorable condition, the object was destroyed under conditions of maximum security in the field", said Igor Livițchi.
In January-November the National Army sappers conducted 169 demining missions, as a result of which 494 explosives of various types and 13,161 cartridges were destroyed.
