
Moldovan PM encourages graduates to believe in their potential
Prime Minister Dorin Recean has urged lyceum and middle school graduates to believe in their potential and confidently pursue their goals set, regardless of obstacles. The PM made statements to this effect, in the context of the starting of the 2025 examination session.
“Dear graduates, we are rooting for all of you! This stage ends, in order to just to make room for a new page, with new discoveries, new achievements and continuous development. I wish you results which meet your expectations and show the work you have carried out. Whatever marks you receive, I encourage you to believe in your potential to be what you want and to pursue this goal, regardless of obstacles,” wrote Dorin Recean.
At the same time, the prime minister thanked the teachers for their daily efforts. “I thank the teachers who have raised you to this point and have as big emotions as you have!” added Dorin Recean.
According to the official, education is a priority of the government, as confirmed by the investments made in the education system in recent years.
The PM also provided examples, noting that, in recent years, about 200 schools and kindergartens had been renovated, sanitary blocks in dozens of schools were repaired, with similar projects planned for another 125 institutions, and laboratories for chemistry, physics and biology were equipped in 160 schools and 65 digital laboratories.
At the same time, investments worth 1.3 billion lei are made in the network of model schools and funding for the modernization of universities amounts to 500 million lei, marking the largest investment in higher education institutions in decades.
“We promise to continue to stand by you, to improve the quality of education and to create modern schools. The ambitious investments in education in recent years prove that education is a priority of the government,” added Dorin Recean.
The middle school graduation examination session started today. As many as 32,000 students are participating in the exams. The middle school exams will be held at about 1,036 institutions across the country's districts/municipalities. The exam tests will be evaluated during June 2-23, with preliminary results from the main session displayed at the educational institution where the pupil studied on June 24, 2025.
Meanwhile, the first baccalaureate exam of the current session will be held on June 3. Over 18,500 candidates have registered, including 2,065 repeaters from previous sessions.
The baccalaureate exams will be held at 91 baccalaureate centers. The exam tests will be evaluated from June 3-25, with preliminary results from the main session displayed at the baccalaureate centers on June 26, 2025.
