Edition of 2025 year of Fruit Day Exhibition brings together orchardists from all over the world

The seventh edition of the specialized exhibition on horticultural technology and innovations, Fruit Day, organized by Moldova Fruct Association today, gained an international dimension this year. Over 70 horticultural professionals from Ukraine and Romania are participating in the event, alongside experts, authorities and private sector representatives from Moldova.

With a focus on continuous modernization of the sector and resilience in the face of climatic and geopolitical shocks, the event has gathered more than 40 exhibiting companies from Moldova, the USA, Israel, France, Italy, Poland, Greece, Germany and Romania. Cutting-edge technologies in irrigation, sorting, packaging, storage, digitalization and logistics are on display.

‘’Moldova Fruct Association is an example of organization, dedication and ambition in the agricultural sector. It has proved capability, explored new markets, and capitalized on the potential of Moldovan horticulture. At all our discussions with international partners, fruit growing is present as a priority sector due to export volumes, contribution to the state budget and its essential role in rural development. Today, challenges are not missing, but they motivate us to become better, more efficient and more united. I am pleased that, at this edition, the Association has focused on technology, innovations and solutions for adapting to climate change. This is exactly the direction we need to go. This spring was not easy. Unfavorable climatic events affected many plantations, but we are in the process of analysis and the government will intervene with the clearest and well-targeted measures, in order to meet the needs of the affected,’’ said Ludmila Catlabuga, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry.

This year, the exhibition attracted 450 visitors, farmers and specialists from all regions of the country, who aim to adopt the solutions proposed to adapt their businesses to the new market realities.

‘’This year's edition is about the sector's ability to adapt and move on, despite increasing challenges - climatic, economic and geopolitical. We cannot talk about the future without investments, modern technologies and real collaboration throughout the value chain. Moldovan fruits have reached consumers' tables in the European Union and other regions in recent years - a result that honors us, but also comes with the responsibility to maintain the quality, competitiveness and earned trust,’’ noted Vitalie Gorincioi, President of Moldova Fruct Association.

The host of this year's edition is Fani Ltd company from Miclesti, central Criuleni district, a model of investment and long-term vision in horticulture.

'Fani Ltd is one of Moldova's major stone fruit exporters and this position compels us to look with confidence at the future of the entire sector. We strongly believe in the potential of Moldovan horticulture and that's precisely why we chose to invest in production and post-harvest infrastructure in Miclesti. We aim not only to maintain the standards achieved, but to advance them, with even more responsibility towards quality, the environment and our partners,’’ stated Stefan Biltan, the company's manager.

The event is organized by Moldova Fruct Association, with the support of strategic partners, the European Union and the Moldovan Investment Agency.
