Moldovan parliament speaker discusses with German Bundestag President
Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu today met President of the German Bundestag, Julia Klockner.
The discussions focused on the progress made by Moldova in the process of European integration, the security situation in the region, combating hybrid threats, as well as the strong Moldovan-German cooperation, through which strong institutions have been built over the years, kindergartens, schools and hospitals have been modernized and efforts are being made for the energy independence of our country.
‘’She assured me that Berlin stays a valuable and reliable partner of Moldova and will stand by us, providing the necessary support on our path to European integration. Our goal is quite clear: to open all negotiation chapters by the end of the year and Germany is with us on this path,’’ said Igor Grosu.
Speaker Igor Grosu expressed his gratitude for the support which Moldova had received on behalf of Germany over the last three decades and proof of this is the expansion of air connections to more German cities in the past year.
